Very good opener that was new to me.

Gus made sure to take in some of their set.

Amazing show. Might have been the most crowded I’ve seen Bottletree. These guys were extremely good live. If you’re headed to Bonnaroo, make sure to put Alt-J on your agenda. Also, check out Hundred Waters. They were very impressive.

Easily my favorite band. Got to the venue at 2:30 to make sure I got a good spot on the floor. No cameras allowed so my phone had to do. Such an amazing show. Unbelievable.

Great show on Saturday night at WorkPlay. Phantogram sounded great and the lights made taking pictures a ton of fun. Having a nice looking subject doesn’t hurt either.

Had to get a token shoe picture in.

And the opener was Reptar. They were a ton of fun.

The Fleet Foxes at the Alabama Theater last night. Really fantastic show. Sound just as perfect live as on their recordings. Amazing. Also, I ran into J Tillman at the Speakeasy after the show and said hi.

Langhorne Slim and my happy accident

Saw Langhorne Slim for the second time at Bottletree last monday. The first time I had never heard of him, but he blew me away. Such a great show. You can really tell how much he cares about his music.

So, I shot my first show on film and I really only got one shot that I was really happy with. You see, Walgreen’s apparently wasn’t having a good day of processing film (I know, probably serves me right for processing my film at Walgreen’s). Anyway, whatever they did to my film actually turned into a little happy accident because the result surprisingly turned out to be really interesting and I liked these better than the pictures that would have resulted from my actual shots. I guess sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good.
